Should KKR Consider Themselves Lucky

There were no fireworks at Eden Garderns as the match between KKR and Deccan Chargers was abandoned due to heavy rain. Will this be a plus for KKR as they are now at number 2 on points table or have they missed out on a point due to rain. 1 point can be extremely important to make it to play off stages and the next thing will be net run rate. Let us summarize as to what might happen to KKR before playoff stage.

Off the other 7 matches they have squared off against Rajasthan and King X1 Punjab, means played 2 won one lost one. They have won a game from Bangalore but have lost to Daredvils. On records these both teams are better than KKR, but on paper KKR is a strong unit with great power hitters like Gambhir, Yusuf Pathan, Kallis, Brendon Macullum and solid bowling attack in the form of Lee, Narine, Hassan, Kallis. To keep themselves ahead they will have to beat atleast one of these two teams which might not be that easy. KKR nneds to win only 4 out of their next 8 matches to qualify for playoffs and their next match is with RCB in Eden.

Stay tuned with your Satellite Direct to watch the next live action between Chennai Super Kings and RCB which is going to be hell of a cracker as both are tied on points table and are positioned 5th and 6th based on net run rate.
